Families looking for a fun, active, and educational summer experience now have even more flexibility this year.
We are excited to announce that DPCDSB is extending our Summer Camp program through an additional week, allowing families to register until August 14 instead of the original end date of August 7.
Our Summer Camp will continue to be hosted at St. Hilary Elementary School, providing families with a familiar, convenient, and accessible location for children throughout the summer.
Originally, our Summer Camp was scheduled to run from July 2 to August 7. Due to growing interest from families and strong demand for additional camp weeks later in the summer, we are pleased to extend the program by one extra week.
Our updated camp schedule will now run from July 2 to August 14 at St. Hilary Elementary School.
For families who have already registered for our Multi-Sports Camp until August 7, you now have the opportunity to register for the extra week as well.
Even better, if you add the extra week before March 31, you will still receive our 10% Early Bird Discount.
This extension provides families with more summer coverage, more flexibility for travel and vacation schedules, and more opportunities for children to stay active, social, and engaged during the summer months.
Why We Extended the Summer Camp Program
Each year, many parents tell us that one of the biggest challenges during the summer is finding high-quality programs that continue into August.
Many camps end in early August, leaving families with a difficult final week or two before school begins again.
By extending our DPCDSB Summer Camp until August 14, we hope to better support working families while also giving children one more week to enjoy a safe, structured, and exciting camp environment.
The additional week is especially valuable for families who:
- Need extra childcare coverage in August
- Want their children to stay active before returning to school
- Are looking for more sports, robotics, and educational activities
- Want to continue building friendships and confidence through camp
- Prefer a flexible summer schedule that can adapt to vacation plans
For many children, the final week of camp becomes one of the most memorable parts of the summer. By August, campers have already made friends, become comfortable with coaches and instructors, and built excitement around camp routines and activities.
Adding one more week allows them to continue that momentum and finish the summer on a positive note.
What Families Can Expect from Our Multi-Sports Summer Camp
Our Multi-Sports Summer Camp at St. Hilary Elementary School has become one of the most popular summer programs for families in Mississauga, Oakville, and surrounding communities.
The camp is designed to keep children active, engaged, and learning throughout the summer through a combination of sports, games, leadership activities, and skill-building exercises.
Campers can expect a wide variety of activities, including:
- Soccer training and skill development
- Basketball, dodgeball, and team games
- Fun fitness and agility activities
- Leadership and teamwork challenges
- Outdoor games and recreational play
- STEM and robotics opportunities in select programs
- Creative problem-solving activities
- Social interaction and confidence-building exercises
One of the biggest advantages of our camp is that it combines physical activity with structured learning.
Children are not simply left to play on their own. Instead, they participate in organized sessions led by experienced instructors, coaches, and camp staff who understand how to create a fun and supportive environment.
Our approach is especially valuable for younger children who benefit from routines, positive encouragement, and activities that help build coordination, teamwork, and confidence.
For older children, camp offers the opportunity to stay active, develop leadership skills, and continue improving their athletic and social abilities throughout the summer.
Sports, STEM, and Robotics Opportunities
In addition to traditional sports activities, many families are also interested in programs that combine athletics with learning opportunities.
Through our partnership with Boswin Robotics and our broader youth development programming, we continue to explore ways to integrate robotics, STEM, coding, and problem-solving activities into our summer camp environment.
This creates a unique experience for children who want more than just a traditional sports camp.
By combining movement, creativity, teamwork, and technology, we can help children develop a broader set of skills that will support them both inside and outside the classroom.
For families who want a balance between sports and educational activities, our summer camp model offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy both.
Children can spend part of the day staying active through games and sports while also participating in structured STEM or robotics-related learning sessions.
This balance helps keep children engaged, especially during longer summer breaks.
Early Bird Discount Reminder: Register Before March 31
We would also like to remind families that our 10% Early Bird Discount is still available for registrations completed before March 31.
This Early Bird Discount applies not only to new camp registrations, but also to families who would like to add the newly extended week between August 7 and August 14.
If your child is already registered until August 7, you can simply add the additional week before March 31 and still receive the Early Bird savings.
We encourage families to register early, as camp spaces can fill quickly, especially during the final weeks of summer when many families are looking for extra coverage.
Registering early also helps us better plan staffing, activities, and group organization so that we can continue providing a high-quality camp experience for all participants.

We are grateful for the continued support from our camp families and community partners, and we are excited to make this summer even bigger and better.
