A New Chapter for Youth Soccer Development in Mississauga
On August 14, 2026, Mississauga United FC and Inter Toronto FC officially celebrated the launch of their partnership with a jersey exchange and joint training experience at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
Representatives from both clubs exchanged official team jerseys to symbolize their shared commitment to youth player development, coach education and stronger connections between community soccer and the professional game.
The ceremony was followed by a special training session that brought Mississauga United and Inter Toronto players and coaches together on the field.

Mississauga United FC and Inter Toronto FC officially launch their partnership with a jersey exchange on August 14, 2026.
More Than a Partnership Announcement
The event represented an important step forward following the announcement of the partnership between the two clubs.
Mississauga United players had the opportunity to meet Inter Toronto players and coaching staff, experience a professional soccer environment and participate in a joint technical session.
Training alongside new players challenged MU athletes to adapt, communicate and compete in a different environment. It also allowed them to see the standards, habits and attitudes required at higher levels of the game.
For many of our young players, it was an exciting and memorable first experience with our new professional partner.
Creating Meaningful Experiences for Players
Mississauga United FC believes that long-term player development requires more than regular practices and league games.
Young athletes also benefit from opportunities that expose them to new coaches, different training environments and players who can challenge them to improve.
Through the partnership with Inter Toronto, MU will continue exploring opportunities that may include:
- Joint and special training experiences
- Coaching collaboration and mentorship
- Player-development clinics
- Professional matchday experiences
- Community events and club activities
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with players and staff
- Additional development initiatives as the partnership grows
These experiences are intended to complement the development players receive within their regular Mississauga United teams.

Developing Stronger Coaches and Stronger Teams
The partnership will also support the continued development of Mississauga United’s coaching team.
During the launch event, MU coaches had an opportunity to observe, communicate and exchange ideas with Inter Toronto staff. Future collaboration may include technical meetings, coaching clinics and shared learning opportunities.
When coaches continue learning, they bring new knowledge and perspectives back to every player they train. Investing in coach development therefore strengthens the entire club.

Building a Stronger Soccer Community
This partnership is not only about player development. It is also about bringing families, coaches and young athletes closer to the professional game.
Through future matchdays, community events and collaborative activities, Mississauga United and Inter Toronto aim to create memorable experiences that inspire young people and strengthen the local soccer community.
The official launch demonstrated what this collaboration can look like: players learning together, coaches sharing knowledge and two clubs working toward a common goal.
