Development Academy Program (Ages 6–9) Overview

Keep your child active, motivated, and developing real soccer skills all season long — rain or shine, indoors in Mississauga. The Development Academy (I or II) Program, offered by Mississauga United FC, is designed for youth aged 6–9 who are new to soccer and ready to build their skills. Rooted in advanced European soccer academy training methods, this program blends structured skill development with fun, engaging drills and mini games in a safe, indoor environment.

Mississauga United FC is proud to partner with Inter Toronto FC, a Toronto-based professional soccer club competing in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), Canada’s top domestic men’s professional soccer league. The partnership supports coaching collaboration, player development and community engagement.

What Your Child Will Learn

Through regular sessions at our Mississauga soccer academy, your child will gain much more than basic skills — they’ll build the mindset and habits of a confident, capable player. Highlights include:

Dribbling with Control and Confidence: Learning to maneuver the ball using both feet, change direction under pressure, and maintain control in tight spaces.
Accurate and Effective Passing: Mastering short passes, through balls, and improving teamwork through intentional ball movement.
Ball Control and First Touch: Training to receive and settle the ball cleanly, whether from the air or ground, using various body parts.
Shooting with Power and Precision: Practicing proper shooting techniques to finish with confidence from different angles and distances.
Game Awareness and Positioning: Understanding where to be on the field to support teammates, create opportunities, and minimize turnovers.

Development Academy Program Details

Season Duration:

October 5, 2026–April 16, 2027

Training Schedule & Times:

Tuesday Evenings — 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Thursday Evenings — 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Friday Evenings — 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Training takes place at indoor facilities throughout Mississauga. Registered families will receive detailed facility information through TeamLinkt prior to the start of the program.

Payment Options:

Development I (Once per Week)
Full Season: $545 (before tax)
Fall Season (October 5–December 18, 2026): $300 (before tax)
Winter Season (January 4–April 16, 2027): $325 (before tax)
Development II (Twice per Week)
Full Season: $959 (before tax)
Fall Season (October 5–December 18, 2026): $529 (before tax)
Winter Season (January 4–April 16, 2027): $575 (before tax)
One-time lump sum payment
Early Commitment Savings: Register by August 20, 2026, to save 10% with Early Commitment Savings.
Payment plan available for Full Season registrations only. Fall Season and Winter Season registrations require payment in full at the time of registration.
